Car Info: 2018 Golf R Variant
The Supra of those years offered it's LSD, disc brake rear end but was a front-heavy "luxo-cruiser" with the extremely tepid 2.8L I6. The front seats alone weighed about as much as a Celica interior. I would rather have the Celica any day of the week, and would prefer the solid-axle GT to the IRS-equipped GTS.
Anyways... Just hate hearing people dog on these cars. I had people in seriously more powerful/better handling cars come up and ask me "what I had under the hood" at tracks for years with my car. Probably put down 65RWHP on it's best day, but I could pass some cars on the inside of turn 2 at T-Hill for example because they had to slow down for the turns and I did not. Out of the 42 cars I have owned, I regret selling this one the most..
Awesome S14.. Can't wait to see the latest changes...

SOOOOOO totally not true - those cars are so much fun, and have TONS of potential. My first "track car" was an '80 coupe which is the same chassis but a little lighter. My brother and my sister both had '83 and an '84 Celica GT, and they were seriously fun cars on the back roads. The 22R is fantastic (especially with a 20R head on top and dual Webers + a header) and it's a great RWD chassis that can be loads of fun on race tracks for almost nothing. Talk about a perfect chassis to learn road courses in... You could do one or two track days a month for a year on one set of Z rated street tires or Toyo RA-1's, one set of Porterfield R4-S pads and on a $250 set of KYB GR-2's. You would learn SOOOO much about driving for such little money.
Any info on where I can start looking for one for cheap? CL has junk.
