when is too many miles?
i have a 2000 2.5rs sedan that is in great condition mechanically. i was finally really considering a aftermarket turbo but the engine has 60000 miles on it already. is that too many? i am sure i can get another 50-60000 out of the engine. i don't plan on going for max power just a stage 1 turbo kit to up the hp a little.

Hi,
60k is not a lot of miles, however, it is always a good idea to check and replace the necessary items, especially if you are planning to turbo. First thing will be your timing belt of course. Also, is there any leak anywhere? In addition, make sure all gaskets are good (you many need mechanic to check that for you if necessary). If you ask most RS-T owners, they will suggest at least a stage 2, and the reason is simple: Intercooler. It's very important not just due to performance reason, but reliability. If you cannot afford the complete stage 2 kit, maybe you can get a stage 1 plus intercooler as optional item.
Good luck turbo-ing
