So are u going to turbo your stock 2.5l engine? One suggestion is swaping a wrx motor in there. But a 2.5rsT would have tons of torque. Don't forget EM.

I would first like to say this is a sick idea and i was thinking of doing it my self before i just said screw it and bought a 2005 wrx wagon. You will definatly need the fuel pump and the injectors not only for saftey but to produce the most amount of power every day, also engine managment is not a bad idea in this swap like an AEM or something but thats really if you want to be able to mess with the tune's when you go to the track or something. Engine managment might be something you could wait on, but i would build your motor a little bit maybe some head gaskets and sleeves for saftey again. But in any case please take pics during the process and post them, or at least the finished product, good luck.

your gonna put money into a turbo kit and be happy for a lil while....then your gonna blow a head gasket or your trans and be sad again. IMHO putting a turbo on an RS is all well and fine but it will not last as long. what is it you want just a lil more power? if so then y not build it N/A and have some more, reliable power? do a stage 2 cam and open up the exhaust. maybe even a lightweight flywheel and new clutch while your in there. better yet talk to shaggadelic and maybe ask him for a ride. if you like it and think it's worth the price tag ask him ow much he spent and go from there. don't try to do it on the cheap though....not for a car you need to drive everyday.

swap it. Do you guys have any kinda smog or anything like CA? If not go to a ej20g or 20k if you price around you can find a good deal on one. and then send out your wiring to be done. If you do all the work yourself you can get away with low cost. call someone like garage tunning or east coast swapers or LIC.
I am not sure what it would take on an obd II car but I just priced it out on my 95 L and it was around 2k (excluding if I want new timeing belt, water pump, acc belts. and so on.) but it did come with everything for the swap (this was a EJ20G 95 wrx motor)
