What Downpipe, Uppipe, and Manifold??
I have a '99 Impreza 2.2L with the EJ22 motor and I want to turbocharge it (who doesn't )
I want to piece together a turbo kit but am clueless as to what materials to use for...
1. The downpipe: Can a USDM WRX be used? An aftermarket WRX DP? Does it have to be custom fabricated?
2. The uppipe: Same thing: WRX? Turbo Legacy?
3. Exhaust Manifold: Turbo Legacy? Stock? WRX?
4. Any other comments? Opinions... Suggestions...

Car Info: 1993/2000/2001 GF4 mostly red
Start with stock or Borla headers. If you use Borlas, wrap and paint them. Then talk to Tom at Ludespeed. His kits should work for your cars.

Pre-made turbo kits are cheaper and fit better than trying to "piece together" your own. Also, check out i-speed for tuning and other useful info. as well as forcedairtech.com for turbo kits. Good luck, and always do your homework first.

I have been researching for about two-three months now. I just want to weigh my options... right now, my list goes:

1. LudeSpeed Stage 2 or 3 (stage 3 if i have the money)
2. FAT Stage 2 or 3
3. Custom Pieced-together kit.
