that is a very open ended question, because you will need alot of other mods to make that turbo perform to its full potential, (injectors, fuel pump, exhaust, reflash or engine management of some kind) just to name a few. Simply bolting on the biggest turbo you can find will probably just make your car run crappy unless you have it tuned properly with the proper supporting mods.

but to answer your question, I am pretty sure that the VF22 or PE1818 (?) are about as big as you wanna go with a suby engine.

to anyone else that may see any false info here, or knows more about Turbo mods....I apologize, please correct me if I am wrong....I dont wanna be givin' out any false info.

VF22 is the biggest oem fit turbo i believe. I think with exhaust piping work, intercooler upgrade, fuel, and tuning, it's good for up to like 260-280whp?

not 100% sure on that one.

VF22 is a more drag oriented turbo, it will net more than 280whp for sure...

You guys should check out the FP Green at forced performance. it is direct bolt on except you need a new oil line to the turbo:banana:

sorry i didnt give any more details. i am currently running no cat exhaust, hks header, sti injectors, perrin rails, walbro pump, ecutek, jun cams (heads and intake ported and polished), pe 1820, blitz fmic, hks bov. i am almost done with a stroked 2.5L fully closed deck and was wondering what turbo to run witht that motor. i also am planning to pick up some 800cc injectors, and already have full suspension and a tranny with rebuilt ra gears. thanks

*sigh*

3037 would be nice, but if u have a built motor as you say you do i would think that you would have planned out your motor build with a particular turbo in miond. You might also want to figure out what sort of power you want to make and at what rpm range. That would also help you in figuring out what turbo you want to go with. Oh and dont forget to factor in how much air the new 2.5 will be displacing (what compression ratio is it and are the heads proted and polished?). You will have to know all that and a bit more to properly pick a turbo for what ever application you want it for.

If you can give us that info we might be able to help

and 325whp on a vf34 i would like to see that

LOL, no kidding, thats what I thought too! LMAO....Well then, I guess it all depends on HOW you want to use your car.....track, drag, autocross....etc.....keep in mind, the bigger the turbo...the more turbo lag you'll typically get on the low end, so if you are using your car for a road course, you will want something that spools quicker....but if you are drag racing, you want something that will give you moderate mid range and ungodly top end. Unless you are just trying to make a hot rod "frankenstein mobile", that has enough HP to change the rotation of the earth. Then I'd say.......PUT ON A TURBO FROM A SEMI TRUCK.....just cut a big hole in the hood.

You might want to try the GT35 on a 2.5L, a GT30 would work well for a all round car but for a drag hound the GT35 would be reasonable.

oh yea and how do you like the jun cams? Was that the only work done on the internals of your ej20? If so what kind of improvements did you notice?
