A tip for a cooler better turbo!!!
When instaling a turbo on a naturaly aspirated engine lubrication is always an issue. Im not a big fan of tampering with a stock oil system. That is like playing with fire.
After i put a high presure oil pump on my 89 daytona i burst the oil seals on my turbo twice. So my stepdad told me to put in a seporate oil system for my turbo. I made a 1qt resavare from a small overflow tank and got a small pump from Grainger and i hid it all up under my bumper. It worked great. I actualy noticed a diference on the but dyno.
A friend of mine just instaled a tubo on his 95 celica and thats how we did the oil suply.
We went a bit farther and instaled a trans cooler between the res and the turbo. It actualy dropen his charge air tem aprox 15 deg. So now we are gona try and run a realy light synthetic oil to see if we can get it to spool a bit quicker.
