sorta noob question about bigger intercooler

i have a vf34 with all the supporting mods and i was wondering if i got a turbo inlet and say a spearco tmic will i be able to boost higher? of course after getting it tuned again. i currently have a sti tmic and a stock bov.

heres another question... ive heard rumors that when you get your car tuned with a stock bov your car reads 17psi because the bov is leaking back into the inlet. So hypathetically if you put on a aftermarket bov that hold higher boost taht is say 50/50 or recirc, then you can run higher boost?

thanks for all your help

I think the stock BOV holds up to 19-20psi. Your STi top mount should be fine for your vf34 and you shouldn't waist money getting a bigger one.

Keep your stock bpv, it will hold plenty boost for the vf34

As for the STi vs aftermarket intercooler...it could go either way. Some say the sti ic is worthless, while others say its good for the money.

A bigger aftermarket one would definetly improve your performance...but is it worth the pricetag? Plus you would need a custom tune to see any gains, AND have a bigger scoop and splitter/shroud. All those things add up.

Depends on the year though, if it's 06+ then the scoop is the same between the STI and WRX
