to much boost ?

last night my friend came up with his sti, i had seen it around but never asked about it. He said he was running 20psi. Is that a bit much? he said he intake piping kept coming apart. I thought i was from to much boost. Will it cause engine damge?

Against my better judgement I am going to answer this question as if it a serious question.

20 PSI is not too much boost as long as he is tuned properly to run that much boost.

His intake piping is probably coming apart because it was not tightened properly in the first place.
