buy a SRT-4 and a stage 1 if you just want the BOV for the sound.

i would get the greddy type rs and adjust the spring rate hard, so it doesnt keep your idle messed up.. but also just so you kno.. i have a friend who has an 06 sti also, and got a bov, and it ****ed up his turbo and cat, which made the turbo to not spool. he found out after i told him that bov is bad for stock subaru's, and told him to put the stock bov on and bring it to the shop, and they said that the bov somehow clogged up the downpipe cat.. so you should rethink that, eitherwise you can still her the stock one if you just change your downpipe

Ya, Bboy, your right. I even called the dealership to ask about it... They said you can put a BOV on a stock STI. But If you dont do it right, or configure it right, It will mess loads of stuff up. But I was wondering.. In order to put a BOV on there.. What is considered "Not stock"... Sense it ****ed up your friends turbo and cat.. Wonder if I get catback exaust... and get a better down and up pipe?

sorry dude but dont rice up your car with a BOV. take the silencer out and you have the sound. you will not gain power with a BOV. the stock bypass valve holds up to 22 psi of boost.
save the money get an EM, turbo back, suspension...etc... you do not need an uppipe, the STi one is cattless. search and research on the car is you friend.

search the forum for intake silencer delete, or snorkus delete...

good luck....

Wasnt going to rice it up... Simply asking about BOV so I can prepare my car for 30+ lbs of boost. And I'm 20 years old, I pay for my own ****, I'm not a kid...

the snorkel, as they call it, is not in the bpv. It is just in front of the front passenger tire and you need to go up through the fender well to take it out. with that out you will hear the turbo spool up and the bpv a lot more. It takes about 10-15 minutes to take out.

Sweet, Ill check it out, But thats not the silencer for the actual blow off valve is it? I thought the blow off valve was mounted on the bottom right of the overhead mounted intercooler?
