No, he installed a JDM STi motor, but he is still an excellent source of information for the old school Imprezas.
wagon22, yes, you can turbo that motor. I don't believe that the EJ22 had any changes from '99-'00, they were both MAF based motors. The automatic won't change anything for you except causing your car to get REALLY slow when off boost, and to have just a bit more lag. The good part is, the extra power is less likely to break it. Most EJ25 turbo kits will work just fine with an EJ22. Right now you can only get new ones from AVO or Forced Air Tech. If you search, you can find some leftover Ludespeed and Vishnu kits around as well.
