2.5xt?
I'm not sure where to post this, but here goes.....
has anyone given any thought to swapping in the engine from a turbo forester or baja to a 1st gen RS? I think the mechanical side of it wouldn't be too bad, but what would I do about the drive by wire setup, the ecu and wiring harness and of course getting my stock guages to work with that engine. The power steering setup on that car is different as well. Any ideas? I know these engines aren't readily available yet, but when they are I have a good connection on wrecked late model subarus so I'm just trying to put a plan in motion for next winter. Thanx in advance.
p.s. my car is 2000 model so any info geared directly to my car is VERY useful

Exept, you kind of have to deal with the electronic throttle... Either use like a WRX throttle body, or something else to make it easier. Everything else should be ~ like a WRX swap...
BTW, people are selling the STI shortblocks now, so thats an option too if you can find say some WRX heads and make a custom-like engine for even mo powa!
