2.5 legacy turbo project
i'm trying to put a turbo on my 99 legacy GT. I found a complete wrx exhaust with a turbo, from the block to muffler, and i was wondering if the up and down pipes would match up with my borla header and cobb catback. also what other kinds of modifications would i have to make to my car before it would opperate properly.
Thanks `subajew

Well, there's a whole list of retro fitting that needs to be done. Of hand, I believe that your car needs a new front crossmember, as the non-turbo ones don't have an indent for the up-pipe. Also, the turbo will be too close to the intake manifold to fit an intake on the inlet. Is the Borla for a non-turbo Subaru? If so, that won't do. Need more info...

I'd say just uy a turbo kit. Unless you like to relearn and remake all of the mistakes of the companies who have perfected it. By the time it's all said and done, you'll spend almost as much doing it yourself, as well as hundreds of hours trying to make it all fit together and run well. You learn an amazing amount about your car, though. In hindsight, I wish I would have bought a premade kit.
