turbo: 30 or 34 IHI?

Please advise, heard the 34 spools much quicker. Also, any other recommendations much appreciated!

I was just reading the thread about the garrett, and no positive feedback exists! Do you run one yourself?

Thanks,

Yeah, if its just a choice and price doesnt matter then the 34 is your best bet. Ball-bearring turbo = fast spool up. I think I read somewhere that full boost should come on around 3500 with the 34.

so the only good thing about the 34 is the ball bearing? more longevity? higher boost?

I asked this question about a week ago on other forums and it seems the consensus was the 34 spools up maybe 200-300rpm's faster, otherwise it was to close to call. Is this worth the extra money?

I guess it depends on why you're getting it.Some applications 200-300rpm is the difference between 1st and uh... well not 1st.
