Since it sounds like you guys are the most mod friendly dealership around and you are responsive on these forum I think you just won a new customer. Just got my WRX about a month ago and wanted some input on these issues.
Checking out the prodrive stage 2 kit (http://www.spimotorsports.com) and was wondering what you guys thought about it and exactly what it would void warranty wise.
Also I am having the clutch shudder problem and wanted to know if you guys have done any TSB's for it. My car runs really wierd when it is cold.
The Prodrive Performance Packs are not available quite yet, (they were finalizing the US ECU maps). I think the Prodrive Stage 2 kit with the cat-back exhaust, intercooler hose upgrade, and reflashed ECU is a very well designed package and at $1270 is one of the best performance upgrades available. We happen to be an Authorized Prodrive Dealer, so if you send a PM with your contact info. I'll give you a call when they come in and we can even do the install if you need. As far as the Warranty issues the factory warranty is voided for the parts being replaced. We would also guarantee the install if we perform that.
The clutch and cold drivability issue is something that I would call our Service Dept. to schedule an appt. I'm sure they would want to keep it over night to duplicate the problem. 303-443-0114
The window tint shop I recommend is Spotshots here in Boulder. They do a great job with quality products at a reasonable cost.
Hope this helps and I hope to see those Performance Packs soon.
I was looking at maybe getting the WRX Momo pedals for my 2001 RS. I was told that the entire gas pedal has to be completely replaced? I am just making sure it is possible and maybe for how much could Flatirons:
1) sell the pedals to me
2) have them installed (since I would need to replace the entire gas pedal)
Definitely possible-have them in my own car. Not sure on price though until i go back to the dealership on monday morning. I'm sure they aren't too expensive. I'd guess less than $75 for parts and install. Give me a call at work on monday and i'll give you an exact price.
