HELP: HID lighting connection issue

i juss bought and HID kit for my 2000 impreza and its a plug and play kit, i plugged in all the wires to the ballast and plugged in the HID socket to the original socket and its not powering my HID bulb, its only powering the low beam light.

how can i get the HID bulb to light instead of the low beam light?

It's not quite plug and play, atleast it wasn't for me since I have a set of halo/led projectors. I had to splice a few wires but ended up using the OEM harness connectors (gray ones).

What's your set up like? OEM headlight assembly?

Can you post some pictures up of your HID assembly? How you connected everything? That'd help alot!

yea i had the same problems with installing my g/fs HID fog lights... they wouldn't turn on and then I messed with the wires some more and now they work perfect.

Good, I'm glad you got them to work. I'm not sure how the impreza headlights work, but usually there is a screw or two near the bottom of the headlight assembly that controls the aim of the headlights. Try that out and see if it works

anyone want to shed some light on why they run the wires the way they do through that grommet? you would think the end that goes into the oem plug to be on the other side of the grommet and not the same side as the bulb, right?

^No, because otherwise that connection would be exposed to the weather. You don't want water on that connection.
