That's true... we had a couple pulls at 400-403whp but decided to pull things back a bit for consistency and a smoother curve.

Ehh... not too bad for a mystery motor and no head work! You also got a lot more torque because of the higher boost levels and meth. I'll let you fill in the mod list. Here's your chart:

Hey Ed, after all the tunes with the atp35r I think that is the turbo that I will go with. Do you have a guess on what my car might make with the engine setup and a 35r on 91? I know it made some really good poere gor it only haveing a 18g. I know you can't say %100 but do you have a guess. Thanks!

Yeah it's not bad at all of course. You can see that before I make more boost (like above 4300-4400 rpm) , I have an additional 10whp/tq at 3000rpm and 50whp/tq at 4000rpm from the supporting mods, but like my other tune it's annoying to have this power peak at 5000rpm and not flow more up top. Of course my motor also has 50k miles on it and there's a suspicion that it's overall down on compression from 175 across the board to 160 across the board.

You can really see how much difference the headwork makes vs. going full supporting mods - I had modded the other stuff and forgone a motor build since my motor never blew up (despite me trying to blow it up LOL)

EJ257 shortblock
ATP GT35R turbo
SMC Alcohol Injection kit (M10 nozzle)
TurboXS FMIC
Perrin equal length headers
DW 750cc injectors
APS turbo Inlet
Grimmspeed uppipe
Tial 38mm EWG
Greddy Type RS BOV
STI oilpan (and pickup)
Crucial Racing TGV deletes
Helix catless downpipe
Borla Hush catback
EQtuning 3" blowthrough MAF w/ custom intake
IXIZ Air/Oil separator

You probably are gonna make the same as bmwhotsauce - you guys have identical mods functional-wise. Maybe a bit more from the more extensive headwork (but then it depends on what the limiting factor is, maybe you end up making more power only on race gas but the same on pump right?)

Which is why if/when I build up I'm going to have to go 280/280 cams to destroy you *****

Other thing is the TXS intercooler core you have - I have it too and Ed is seeing from the logs that it's a limiting factor above 500hp, intake temps are rising by 15+ degrees during a pull instead of staying near ambient. I think the other bugeye has a larger FMIC

^ I know a lot of stuff really plays out whne you get to that 500whp mark. But 500whp is just nuts for power on a street car. With 400whp it's easy to say nothing is gonna come close to you!

And yes with those 280/280 you might kill us a bit lol

The power peaking earlier is a function of the boost levels you're running much more so than the head work/cams. It mainly means that we're hitting the turbo's peak efficiency earlier because of the higher boost levels. In general when you max out a turbo, you will end up with a relatively flat hp curve. The trick is to get that hp to carry through the RPM range. With cams and head work you could probably get the power to carry all the way to 7500-8k RPM.

Thanks

I would imagine your car would make similar power to Phil's but you can never say for sure .
