It's official: US now blamed for Tsunami Deaths

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6813771/

Thailand's vice minister in charge of the National Disaster Warning Office, says the United States must take some of the blame for the grievous number of casualties.

What a crock of crud. I say we just drop a nuke on them =).

Well you certainly called that one, Helladumb.

Just think of how many more people feel this way that don't have a voice in that region.

After that, no. It's their own goddamned fault they wouldnt listen to our guys, and it's their own fault they are too ****ing stupid to put 2 and 2 together. Even the dudes in loincloths and spears knew somthing was up and headed for the hills. I think America screws up alot, so i usually don't mind so much when people cry about it - because they are probably right on some level - but this was a goddamned EARTHQUAKE! PLATE TECTONICS. Them blaming one single death on us is absolutley absurd and if we don't come back with a "STFU" I'm going to be very dissapointed.

My mom is medical specialist and is heading over for aid, and i almost want to tell her not to go. I'm totally disgusted.

Well it looks like this guy is continuing his trend of being a wack-job

He retired under a shadow, dismissed as a crackpot
Looks like he should have stayed retired.

Regardless of the politics, the people still need help. They should be angry at their own governments for not trying harder, not us. Maybe if they had given us their stupid phone number we would've done something about it . . . . That being said, I'm a bit curious as to why they didn't try to put it out over the AP wire or some alternative method, but it's definitely not our fault.

Yeah, it's not the peoples fault at all, but the audacity to blame another country for a natural disaster is absurd. I still support my mother going over there of course, there is a huge crisis and much help is needed.

Bleh, still makes me mad though...

Granted, this is a completely idiotic thing to say. But this is one dude from a tiny country. I dont think that merits much backlash / recourse
