I got pulled over and blamed for somethin i didnt do!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ya what should i do!

i got pulled over harassed by the cop and then he wrote me up for passin over an intersection, speeding, and missin a front license plate..

ok here is how it went..i was drivin to my dads house a couple weekends ago and i got pulled over out of the center of 15 cars, i saw the cop passing cars to get to me. he pulls me over and said iwas goin 85 in a 65!!! i know fo a fact i was goin bout 70-75(but i was goin the speed of traffic on a two lane road, highway 4), then he looksat the front of my car and says that i am missin my front license plate, i say yes that is true, then out of know where he claims that is was driving wrecklessly and passing over an intersection(no joke i didnt do it)...i the end he wrote me down for 80(he never radar'd me) in a 65, passing over an intersection, and missin a front plate(correctable)

i got the ticket two days ago and i came out to be $550 for the ticket and $269 for traffic school

any suggestions, i am goin to court cause it was complete bull****, from now on i am keepin a vid cam in the car for when i get pulled over to record everything he says to me so i can prove harasment on his ***!

Did you write down a gun he used or whatever? Was he pacing you? Fight it in court if you are very confident you can win. I heard even winning cases lose =\ so best of luck man.

Where was this again?

fight it...i would say get a public attorney..cops and judges work together..lawyers have told me that if i was ever pulled over for speeding. you have the right to ask the officer to see the radar. it the officer doesn't have anythign on you. the officer has no case. write the tag number down. get thier badge number call it a day. even a recorder doens't work. i once was pulled over for the same cause and the police officer lied about the whole situation and where we were. judged didn't bother looking at the dvd and said i was guilty.

Visual estimation of speed is considered adequate for a ticket as long as the cop has been trained for this. If he uses visual estimation, he does not need to use a radar.

radar is only to be used to verify the officers estimation of speed. They do not need to use the gun to prove you were speeding.

in court, the officers testimony is considered an expert witness since they have explicit training in that field.

I would still fight it if you did not do what the ticket said you did.

get your info together and fight it in court. I don't know what you mean by "passing over an intersection" but be honest about the speed and say that you were traveling with the flow of traffic at approx. 70mph. A "the cop is lying" argument doesn't usually win the case if the area you were pulled over in has consistent traffic patterns (same amount of cars at the same speed you were going) on a daily basis then that might help your case too

The Next Step:

Take off your wing, go sleeper. I got pulled over 5 times in 3 weeks in the east bay when i first got my STI. After i swapped trunks with a guy who had a wingless, I was pulled over once in the course of a few months. To this day (6 months later) I've still only been pulled over twice and let go both times.

Just a thought..

Also consider your exhaust volume. A cop tried to accuse me of "illegal exhaust" on my Borla Hush catback, with stock dp. WTF?! ANDDDD, the same cop goes, "i'm gonna be nice and let you go for that aftermarket hood scoop." I have a stock hood!

Anyways, now im just venting. But yea, be conscious of how your car looks to the cop. It actually helps to be wingless.

Where on Highway 4???

Fight the ticket. Go prepared. Don't just say the cop was full of **** cause they'll side with the cop. Basically you have no witnesses and you're probably hosed. Sad but true.

I believe they have to pace you for 2 miles to use that as a speed for a ticket...but thats just coming out of my head..

do your research. come prepared. Hopefully you'll at least get your fines reduced.
