I have a 87 subaru gl turbo. i went out to start it and all it will do is just turn over. it seams to me like the plugs are not firing. i have checked the coil its good. i realy dont know a whole lot about working on cars . jsut thought that maybe i could get some advice. it started everyday and now it just wont. thanks for any help i can get ,Dustin

hey man sorry about the other thread but i d say sinse your coil works pill a plug wire and touch it to the block and have someone turn the car over. if your distributer and wires are fine you should see a spark arc to the block. if you have spark on one check the rest. if they all work check your plugs( you can do it in the same way but with the plug in the wire boot. if thats not the problem then i dont know. its all about touble shooting. i would suggest going and picking up a Chilton's or other service manual for your car if you dont already have one. they are like $20 at schucks.

hey thanks for replying. if i cant get it running im going to try to jsut sell it i need a car to get to and from work. its a nice car just wont start.

There are a lot of guys on that board that own and "fix" up older gen subarus.

also, check the fuel pump and main relay. i've experienced those parts causing the same symptom.
