not sure if this is clean enough, but this is my JDM twinscroll '03 RA SPEC C complete chassis swap into an '02 WRX shell......the only thing missing is the roof scoop....thats next....sorry about the poor ground wires....:(

MY04 STi spec C.

it has really small battery terminals and i finally found out that spec c's come with smaller batteries. Has tranny cooler lines which were cut, and no A/C.

also have the tranny in it

DW5EJ and DW5CJ are both spec C. When i posted on nasioc i thoguht i didnt have spec C then someone in japan duo maxwell, posted that there are different variations of spec C's. Its not a True dw5EJ spec C, but rather a limited one.

there are so many dw4er's around, and everyone that see one/has one is like WOW s202!! I know because i did the same thing when i was picking out my engine. But an s202 is just a ver7 ra spec C engine, but with a more aggressive ecu and titanium exhaust and red intake pipe. We can do that ourselfs.

Just finished installing the engine on Wednesday. Alot of work left, even though the engine bay is done.

Yeah, S202 is also DW4ER, hehe.

S202 has VF34 and red intake pipe.
STi Limited has normal intake and VF30.

And, of course, the ECU's are mapped differently.

That all it matters for the swap guys, as thats the only parts that come with the motors.

But, the actual long block is the same for both S202, Spec C and the STi limited.

LOL you are really pumped about 207 swaps man. How about one in a GC8? Mine will not be as pretty as the ones in here but I should be finishing it up sometime this week. I will post pictures as soon as I am finished.

The cams have been modded to fit the EJ20G cam gears and set without AVCS looking for most agressive setting.

Heres mine....although not in the car yet damnit...hopefully soon. Adam of LIC is gonna be taking care of the swap. There has been a little bit of confusion as to what exactly this motor is...as the intake manifold has been painted. The VF30 is there, there are no TGVs, so yeah...Alex, if you could actually put this to rest for me that would be awsome. Got the NON DCCD, all LSD'd out 6 speed with it, so there are a few things that just made Adam and I, and the rest of us wonder for sure. Its goin into my 00 2dr RS...cant wait!!! Thanks.

Which Greddy front mount kit are u using? Just out of curiousity....I have a chance to get my hands on one but its for the 02+ and fitment Im sure will be an issue, though I know it can be made to work. Thanks man, sounds like you're gonna have one hell of a car once ur done.

EJ207DW3CR-1BD.....you definitly have an STi engine. That model number is from the early production JDM '01 VER7 STi non-RA. Having a repainted red intake plenum is common if it had gotten scuffed up...... and also JDM cars had no TGV's in their STi's but used the same cast runners....

Hmmm....that makes me wonder tho....since my transaction for engine and tranny was for a 2003. And there were a few hick-ups along the way.

Thats a MY02 regular STi.

Aaron, International B, has the same motor. He put down ~250whp at Shiv's with VF34 and turbo back without remap. You can ECUTEK it also. It will probably make around 270whp.

Yep. He ran 96 octane with stock JDM ECU.

He did have VF34, but a VF30 won't make much less. Few hp, at the most I think. And he had a turboback exhaust.

That is why I am really anxious to see how a fully tuned Spec C motor that I have will do. ;)

Spec C motors are either have "E" in second to the last letter. If you have a "C" you don't have the Spec C's. You have regular STi heads.
