I've heard of people swaping block with newer ones. Now if you took a DOHC engine and used a 2000 block, do you have to change the computer? What about putting a turbo baja or forester engine in? New ECM? Thanks

Thanks Kay95 06-07-2004, 08:48 PM most of the block swaping that happens is from a ej205(usdm wrx block) or ej251(rs block) block to the ej257(usdm sti block) mostly because the original block has a hole in the piston or the rings are burnt and no compression EndlessWaltz RS 07-06-2004, 08:37 PM You would need a reflash on the ECU, and then the appropriate gaskets and such, depending on the heads you were swapping onto the block. I would suggest the EJ257, awsome block, great HP, and REALLY great torque numbers. Check out www.LICMotorsports.com , I have personally watched Adam perform an EJ257 swap into an 02 WRX. Shoot Adam or Noah of LIC an email or give them a call, they can give you all the details as well as prices.
