Help with list of Twin Scroll Turbos for a WRX
Hi All,
I'm trying to gather info on all the twin scroll turbos that are a direct bolt on replacement for a WRX. As much as I like the idea of a IHI VF34, I'm looking for something that will make more low end power and about equal top end. Pretty much a turbo that spools as fast as the stock but continues pulling into the upper RPMs. If any of you guys know of any of such turbos and what their max rated top end HP (after tuning on a WRX with larger injectors and fuel pump, etc) is, please list them ..... if you guys can also list thir CFM and PSis are certain rpm ranges that would be great. Thanks

After doing a little more research it seems that pipings do need to be changed in order to accomodate a twin scroll .... so my question would be what would need to be modified as well as swapping out the turbo to a twin scroll ....

Well if you get the whole twin scroll setup... Headers, uppipe, downpipe, oilpan, etc. then it should bolt up somewhat. But if you just have the turbo, you are furbared.

when ever you do a turbo swap you are going to sacrafice something to gain in another area. the torque of the boxer eng is good to pull you so depending on what you want look for improving mid range and top end rpm ranges. now to drop the response time try to get the turbo in ball baring option. They have been shown to have 15% quicker presponse.

Twinscroll is a good solution but needs more than jsut turbo
How about VF34 and tune the boost for better response in low rpm.
Apex AVC-R can do that and I found it very useful.
Basicall you can tune how responsive or mild the boost in specific rpm you choose.
so you can set the boost rather responsive at low range for better spool and mild on top to prevent overshooting.
it wont completely change the boost characteristics of the turbo though. It just helps.
