I was in 5th and WOT from 3k to 3.5k and still WOT, and it DROPPED 3-500 RPM and went back up. So i tried from 3.5K to 4k. Same thing! It dropped 3-500 RPM from 4k! :eek: Engine was warmed up and it was 7 am (read cold). But by the time I got to work and tried again, it was normal again. :confused: help?

btw, I have 02RS with no engine mod...

I had thisd problem on my 01. Im not sur if it is ecactly the same though. I would have serious hesitation and no acceleration literally under WOT, and sometimes rpm would drop. Go to the dealer and get it scanned, I had a bad o2 sensor and a faulty coil pack. I also had a lumpy idle occasionally from it. Good luck!

yeah... i was thinking some where along air filter, coil pack, injectors, spark plugs.... but that's pretty wide range.... and i didn't think of the o2 sensors... thanks! i am going in this friday next week..

could it be bad gas? it seems to be gone now... :confused: this also happened... i recently got into a minor accident... some damn lady hit me in the back.. anyway, so i took the car into bodyshop with VERY low gas. The shop told me they put some gas in (very little) just incase. I always use 91 cheveron and don't know what they put in. I am on the second tank now and it seems to be gone. could it be the gas?

Bad gas is always a culprit.
