Might be trading in my Mazdaspeed Protege for a 2002 Wrx..thoughts?
i love my Mazdaspeed really i do. but i have ALWAYS wanted a WRX and i didnt get one because they were all 19-22k USED so i was like **** dat and i bought my Mazdaspeed brand new for 15k had it for about 6 months and i LOVE it. but now the dealer has a 2002 wrx with 50k miles on it for 15k
Sucks as much as i Love my Mazdaspeed everytime i see a WRX drive by me i think about man maybe i should have just waited and bought that instead. i cant fight the feeling so im gonna check it out, tomorrow will be my first time behind the wheel of one so who knows i might change my mind.
Im going to the dealer tomorrow to see what we can work out. ill let you know what happens. im gonna test drive it and see how it feels, and see what kind of deals they can cut me
more tomorrow guys later

I would be wary of a 2002 car with 50,000 miles on it -- and also with that low resale value. Every 2002 WRX I've seen is going for 19k or higher, unless they were wrecked.

I'd stick with your current car. Since you've had it since new, you know what it's been through. Remember the 50K miles means it's most likely out of warranty.

I think that this wrx will not be a sure thing, it has a ton of miles for an '02. But test drive it...see how you like it. Then if you want a wrx, save up for a better buy. I love mine and recommend it to anyone, probably the most practical car I have owned. I got a deal on mine so they're out there.

advice from a car salesman
don't buy it- unless you are ready to start changin stuff(if you haven't already planned to do so) @ 50,000 miles(and i don't care if they say "highway" miles or not) thats still a lot of miles. saving another 3-5k will be worth it. i firmly believe this buy what you really want at an affordable AND reasonable(which does not neccessarily mean less) i've mentioned this before- weigh price versus cost. although the price may be 15k it may just end up costing you more in the future. i love mazdas- my brother has a p-5. . .the only reason i didn't buy his car was because it was hp challenged
i'd say keep your car(limited production right?) if u can. and try to get a wrx too. if u can't do that - hold out for a reasonably priced one-
end of sermon- my $.02
