Gerrrr.
Sorry about the two posts,
Anyway, I drive a New Beetle Turbo S now. but It is heavy and doesen't perform well at the Autocross' I go to (yes, my driving has to do with that too) anyway, I was looking at a less expensive vehicle to be a dedicated autocross car. In my region NOBODY runs in H Stock. I mean nobody, at most 2 cars per event, and most events none.
So I have been doing research on a dedicated H stock car. I saw that the impreza form Subaru is in H stock (the NA version).
So I have a few questions. I have been looking around and I see that it originaly came with the 1.8 but a 2.2 was avalable on the Automatic transmision cars. My question: is there a Subaru Impreza 2.2 with a 5 speed in the sedan or coupe? If so, great! and what should I "look out for" when buying one. What's good, what's not good?)
Thanks for your attention

I'd skip a Brighton for a car meant primarily for autocross. They're heavier and have nothing to make them perform better. They were intended as a kind of 'luxury' Impreza. Mike Shields gives some advice on shopping for Imprezas here:

I think it's a bit too specific for stickifying for general users. Most people in the Shopping forum are buying new or near-new cars, not older 'bargain' Imprezas. Those who are usually ask questions like these.
