hooking up my Pioneer DEH-P940MP deck to a harness i bought from bestbuy. coming out of the deck, theres a blue/white wire that the instruction guide says "To system control terminal of the power amp or Auto-antenna relay control terminal (max. 300 mA 12 V DC)."
now since i have an STi do i splice into this wire and hook both my amp remote wire and the power antenna wire from the harness up to this?
thanks,
Jason
Does the STi have a power antenna? I thought it had an in glass antenna. If that's the case, then just put a crimp on it. As far as the amp remote wire (assuming it's an aftermarket amp), I'd use the remote wire directly off the pioneer harness.

sti doesnt have a power antenna but the in glass antenna is an amplified antenna and from what i've read you need to hook up the power antenna wire or your radio reception is crap.

yes, its an aftermarket amp. i know to hook it up to the remote wire from the pioneer deck but my question was if the power antenna from the car harness gets hooked up to the same wire that i mentioned earlier

You must connect the power antenna lead so your signal amplifier will operate correctly....if not your reception will SUCK (believe me :D )
