INFORMATION:
I HAVE CURRENTLY 18X9 225/40/18 KUHMO TIRES ON MY WRX WITH EIBACH SPRINGS. HANDLES PRETTY DARN GOOD, THE TIRES CAN BE INDUCED INTO A SLIDING MOTION. ANYONE HAS EXPERIENCE WITH THE TOYO PROXES IN THE SIMILIAR SETUP I WOULD BEEN GRATEFUL FOR A DETAILED CRITUE OF HOW GOOD THE TOYO PROXES ARE. PLEASE INDICATE SIZE, PRICE, AND LOCATION OF PURCHASE. THANKS IN ADVANCE.........

In colder weather or if I focefully throw my car I will slide violently with 225/45-17 toyo t1-s. Also one time on a very cold morning I was driving very slowly as there was a light dusting of snow, I know haven't had time to take them off for winter, and took a very slow 90 degree turn however the car continued going straight luckily I was able to make the car turn.

I have Toyo T1-S 215/45 17's on my car.
The car handles pretty darn good. If I try, the tires can be induced into a sliding motion.
Hope this helps. :)

The Toyo T1-S (215/45 17) are my summer tire. They have amazing grip and performance on wet and dry.

I've never drifted them though. :(

I have used up a set of T1-S tires on my REX. I have 225/45 R17s with a full STi setup (mounts, struts/springs, lateral/trailing/end links and sway bars) and they are very noisy. So noisy that I will swap out the stock rims when I am going on a road trip. Turn-in is good, they don't wander on the interstate, but they do ride stiff. They endured an entire season of Auto-X and about 10K miles of driving. The grip is excellent, they break away in a very predictable manor, I have recovered from more than a few sideways turns. Once even at the end of a slalom I nearly spun the car round but was able to catch it and still made the next set of cones. They only make noise when they're pushed really hard at high slip angles. I've only heard squealing on concrete. Wet weather performance is outstanding until they start to show allot of wear. The less tread they have the better they stick, but the worse they do in the wet (par for the course with any tire).

I also have a set on my Audi, and they work even better(smoother, quieter) on a heavier car. I will buy them again for the Audi, but am looking for a R-compound tire for the REX.

I have 225/45x17 T1S Toyos on my WRX wagon. I was impressed with their on-track capability as they are quite predictable and have excellent grip. My suspension is upgraded as are my brakes.

For a street tire (280 treadwear rating), I recommend them highly.

I am probably going to try them out as my next tire. However, I am told that those tires need a lot of camber to hook up really well. This is from people who ran the Open Track Challenge last year.

But so far I have not heard any complaints from those that have tried it.

I ran the T1S in 225/50/16 last spring/summer and have nothing but praise for these tires. Great dry performance, uncanny wet performance. Stiff sidewalled and as a nice bonus-light (almost 2 lbs lighter than comparable sized tires. I'll probably be going wider this next summer, but I'm sticking w/ the T1S.

Now I definitely want to try them out now.
