Its already out.Just because the displacement is the same doesn't mean it's the same motor....it's not.It's a detuned version of the sti.You can put any of the subaru turbo setups on your rs with some work but running stock boost levels will damage your engine.Most setups I've heard of for the rs run about 5 psi.

Yeah, it may not be the same motor but would a transmission/ecu and motor cram into an rs and run well?
Soccer moms on cell phones are gonna be wrecking those things like hotcakes especially if it really runs that 13.9 quarter everybodys saying... and me wants that engine.

It still uses the same 5spd as a WRX and the dimensions are the same so yes it will fit. With the 6spd you'd have to do some modifying to make the transmission tunnel big enough but the new turbo 2.5L should work. Its just getting the wiring figured out that will be the hard part.
