Hi all,
I'm in a state of fevered lust for a 99 BMW M Coupe (I know, I know, heresy), and I'm trying to figure out if I can sell my RS for enough cash to waste it on the Bimmer.
Anyway, here are the details:
1998 Impreza 2.5RS (DOHC)
25000 miles
MetalMaster brake pads
ATE blue brake fluid
K&N drop-in
Snorkus sitting in my garage
Additional stuff:
I bought the car from Jason Priestley (90210 actor, professional race car driver), but unfortunately I don't know what he did to the car.
The rear plate has a frame that says RSE, which I guess is some Subaru/Mitsubishi specialist down in Costa Mesa or something. I called them up, and while the guy didn't remember exactly what had been done, he said he was pretty sure that Santa Monica Subaru had him put in a Euro-spec suspension and possibly some other stuff.
Someone told me that the front bumper is actually the bumper from a 99, so I guess he did that, too.
Problems (all of these were courtesy of Mr. Priestley):
Passenger seat won't slide with the seat back lever (I should check this out), but will slide with the slider lever
Cracked (but functional) right-side driving (fog?) light
High center brake light was broken off the spoiler
Curb rash on wheels
Small scrapes, dings
Interior is in good condition (but when I first bought it, it smelled like wet dog--ugh)
Check Engine Light is on... not sure why. I'm going to take it to AutoZone to see if they'll diagnose for free.
---
That's about it. So what do you think? How much could I get for this car?
Thanks,
Phil
