Hey does anybody have the Kartboy Short throw Shifter? If so what do you think of it?

 

I like mine a lot. Get the bushings too.

The kB **** is mighty cold right now.

I drive a stock set up recently and it felt all squishy to me.

Great 1st mod and pretty easily to install. Get the bushings too and you will get a great feel when shifting.

 

I have the factory (STi) short shifter. It came w/ the car, if it didn't I woulda gone w/ the Kartboy b/c it's shorter.

 

I like the ILP shifter, its suppose to be the shortest, and if you had the STi linkage it makes it even shorter. Too bad I didn't get it when its on sale

 

Kartboy = Elite.

 

I have it and am pretty satisfied. The install was a little annoying but took less than 15 minutes.
You have to unbolt the plate around the assembly and shave a few bits off it. I did mine with an air die grinder in about 3 seconds. Then there is the fear factor of hammering it in with a block of wood and a hammer. I just didn't like how the cup assembly would bend down and flex so much but the end result is sweet. I capped mine off with a honda type R **** and a piece of carbon fibre tubing to cover the exposed threads. If I stop being lazy I'll post pics soon, if you want?

 

Get the KB. It's worth every penny!

 

thanks for the info guys. I'm going to get the Kartboy shifter and bushings. Now to start saving up for the HKS CF/TT exhaust..mmmmmmm.
