About 3mm is all you can safely run on the stock wheel studs. Are you swapping to longer studs? Or are you buying the larger(10mm+) spacers with the built in studs?

I was wandering the same thing earlier.

My friend has the spacers that have studs coming off them, and he has had them on his car(s) for awhile with no problems at all.

^^^dont get me wrong i deffinitly agree with you here, but i dont have a G+ to drop on wheels and tires right now. of course i could put the close to $300 i'd be spending on spacers toward new wheels, but i also want to maintain an oem look to my car as well...i would like to just get some 04' sti bbs wheels and call it a day, but those are still out of my price range for now..still not decided yet, probably wont get them just cause the money spent there could have been used better elsewhere...

Yep nothing wrong with spacers especially if you want to fit some gnarly brakes in there, alot of people think wing spacers "suck" but hey we do what we want anyway.
