whats your opinion on stromung exhausts

Hi everyone, got a legacy gt '96 and I'm looking at a catback exhaust from stromung. Anyone dealt with them before, any opinions on their products? All input is appreciated, but please leave the flaming about how your exhaust is better if you never had one from stromung out. They are pretty much the only company I have seen that makes a catback exhaust for a '96 legacy gt, so this may be my only option besides a custom exhaust. Thanks.

You won't find many Legacy owners flaming Stromung as they are one of the only manufacturers that make an exhaust for our cars.

I will buy a Stromung when I am ready to buy an exhaust. They are quality products and fit well.

I know it's an old thread, but I felt I should add I've heard a lot of problems with Stromung mufflers rusting out.

Either way, Flanders, why can't he use an Impreza exhaust?

cept that all the SPT exhausts come F*cked up and Bosal has to replace with v2 under warrantee because subaru wont do it... seriously, it sounds great, but theres a huge thread on legacygt.com about how crappy the v1 of the exhaust was. wait for bosal to finish the warrantee claims and release the v2 retail...

i just put on a greddy exhaust... i like it, ll loud in the lower rm range, 1k - 2200 or so... but therwise sounds great

Im still confused as to whether I can use an Impreza exhaust on a legacy, if someone can clarify through experience that would be greatly appreciated.

Soooo, I live in my closet. The Impreza exhaust is simply awesome... guess the Legacy buyers need to wait, eh?

Its not long enough. Sybir had (or still has) a customized exhaust that came from an impreza, but it took a few hours of re-fabbing to get it to fit.

Question Stomung exhaust note

I am assuming since stromung is one of the only manufacturers of exhaust that is the loud one I hear on Impreza's that sounds real different. Real deep and throaty. Almost like a two stroke.

Am I right?
Does it sound the same on Normally Aspirated GT's?

If not how would you define it?
