hesitation under acceleration (was: Engine Help PLEASE!)

So the past couple of days my car has been running a little weird. My main concern is that either my clutch, fuel injectors, or something more serious, has gone bad.

Basically when i give the car a lot of gas (full throttle) the rpms do not accelerate smoothly, it goes a little then stops, goes then stops, sounds like the turbo is boosting then stops then goes then stops. its not a smooth acceleration.

any ideas?

Change your plugs recently? If so which ones? What's the condition of your MAF sensor? Oh yeah, mod list please...

So I'm assuming you don't have a CEL or anything. Try taking off your MAF sensor to see if it's contaminated. The sensor is very fragile so exercise caution when cleaning it. Use electrical cleaner and a q-tip to clean and avoid using anything too abrasive. Let us know what happens...

PS- If it was an injector more than likely it would have triggered a CEL by now. If you clean the MAF and still have symptoms my next guess would be air/fuel delivery.

Could also be some bad gas, or some big enging problems.

Check your spark plug wires... could be bad, or arching.

If you have individual coil packs, try pulling them out and seeing if any of them are cracked.

Could also be a bad fuel pump.

ok i was having the same problem and i was trying to narrow the possibilities of what the heck could be going on when my fuel pump just completely quit...so its a strong possibility that your fuel pump might be about to quit working. (checked octane lvls, boost, MAF sensor, fuel injectors, fuel filter, problem just got worse)
