Hey, i have a 2008 WRX and i was wondering if any of you guys put springs on your car and what kind? pics would be helpful

i was possibly thinking h&r springs, anyone have them on their cars, or have any opinions on them?

I have megan racing coils on my car, but on previous cars I've had springs from H&R, neuspeed, vogtland, and eibach.

H&R were pretty good, decent drop, and a pretty stiff ride.
not the best of the lot, but vogtland doesnt make springs for subarus so of they ones out there I'd go with H&R.

I don't have pics yet BUT, I do have the STi pink coil springs which are suppose to lower the car 10mm. I purchased them from the dealer.

i was wondering how your coilovers road? were they really stiff, you mentioned that h&r springs are stiff, is it worth saving up and just buying coilovers instead?

the coilovers are stiffer than any set of springs you can buy. They are borderline uncomfortable, but they are fun.
If you are unsure then just go with the springs, and possibly sway bars. I have the rear sway and that made a huge difference, need to get the front one soon too.

I have Cobb Sport Springs on my car for a 25mm drop front and rear with spring rates increased by 10% in the front and 20% in the rear.

Here's the 08 STi spring review I did on IWSTI, but it's for 08 STis and their will be a difference when comparing the companies WRX and STi spring facts (spring rate and drop) because of the difference in WRX and STi stock set ups.

But it should give you a good idea as too some companies to look into.

Good luck, and I insist going some what conservative with your drop. Too much may lead to lots of negative camber, increased tire wear, a harsh ride, and eventually strut issues (which the WRX may be more inclined to than the STi because of the difference in the strength of the factory struts).
