I drive a 98 RS. I have bought an ACT pro street clutch kit and JUN lightwieght flywheel from COBB. Anyway, Now that my drivetrain has MUCH stiffened shifting( and HOLLY shi*t does the car have more responce) ....The whole thing flexes WAY to much under stress on and off the clutch.......When I Hit the clutch in to switch @ redline in 1st....the entire engine almost drops to the ground....then when I let the clutch back out after switching to 2nd ...no matter how slowly(burning the clutch !) the engine SHIFTS backwards like crazzy.....

Now I consider myself a verry good driver and racer. I revmatch almost perfectly, and even with perfect engine - transmission speed, the drivetrain has WAY too much flex.

I have been thinking of upgrading to STI engine and transmision mounts....does anyone have any experience with these.....will they help ??? what should I do ?

Engine and tranny mounts will greatly reduce the engine moving by almost 75%. At your current state, I bet if you just crank over your motor it would move about 1.5" or so. After the engine mounts, it will only move like .5" or less. The tranny mount I can't honestly say it will help the movement, but it sure does make shifting more positive and direct.

woa 1.5 inches....thats alot of flex.....wonder why they have such loose mounts on there to begin with...
so it will help reduce the BANG noise ? =)
