Exclamation Will WRX brakes fit my non-turbo?

Hi,

I have a 2006 Impreza Sportwagon. I have friend offering me OEM WRX front brakes to me. If I can mount those, what mods are necessary?

Thanks in advance.

The Wrx brakes can be used on your Sportswagon. What year Wrx brakes are you getting? Make sure you are getting both the rotor and calipers.
Extra info.
Early 02 Wrx brakes use different pads. MY03-05 Wrx brakes use same pads. MY06 Wrx used 4-pot brake pads.

Smile Thanx!

Thank you for those tips. I'm eager to get this going so I'll be ready for HPDE at Thunderhill in spring.

Cheers

How about 02 RS? Can I mount the Brembo rotor and caliper from the STi onto the RS? I heard there's an extension bracket in order to get the 4-piston calipers to work (Brembo or Subaru OEM), is that true?

Here's what I've done for brakes on my '02 WRX wagon that I HPDE (& RallyX) around N.CA:

•STi master brake cylinder
•StopTech braided lines
•Racing Brake 'H6' rear conversion: (this might be what you're thinking of)
http://www.racingbrake.com/IMPREZA_R...2071-111-0.htm
•Racing Brake 'Big Brake Kit' 4-Pot Aluminum Calipers (that uses stock size rotors)
http://www.racingbrake.com/WRX_FRONT...111-411-78.htm
•AP Racing 551 Brake Fluid
•Hawk HP+ Brake Pads

My car now stops like a mo'fo, although thanks to the HP+ pads, it also squeels like a little schoolgirl. :wiggle:
