I was waundering if anyone knows what kind and if their is any aftermarket cams for the impreza rs 04-05. or does the 96-2001 cams work for it too? if so, let me know, i wanna go all motor and beat an wrx. but yeah. let me know.. thanx

 

I believe Cobb sells them for 04-05's

 

...and Delta will do a 'regrind' on your OEMs for $71.50 a stick. I just got mine in today and they pull like h***! But, the idle is too low and the car stalls ~ we have no ability to change the RPMs for idle on our cars (04-05). If you are lucky enough to have an '07, this is a non-issue (you can 'set' the idle).

In '07 the Subura techs can set the idle anywhere from 0-2000 RPMs in the program for the OEM ECM. Before that, it wasn't an option for the stock computer, it sets and overides any changes made.

And your right... to my knowledge no one is selling the cams for the Variable Timed Valve engines.

not the right subject but since its my threead, just curious if the RS pulleys are heavier then the sti? stocks only. or are they the same weight?

 

I'd guess the same, just from a cost of manufactoring stand point vs the gains you get from it.
