took my car to a performance alignment shop (curry's auto in virginia) yesterday, and they say i may have bent something in the left rear. i jumped a curb at 5mph a few weeks ago, so it is likely from that accident. here are the specs:

Left Front
Camber: -.3
Toe: 0.00

Right Front
Camber .4
Toe: 0.01

Left Rear
Camber: -1.9
Toe: -.36

Right Rear
Camber -.9
Toe: .02

As you can see, the left rear toe is way out, and camber is a bit off. Is this normal, or is something bent out of whack? will it make that much of a difference in wear? the alignment feels great now, and i can't feel any problems. thanks!

Are you on the stock suspension? The front looks alignable as does the rear toe... but something happened to the rear camber.

yes, suspension is stock. anyone know what could be bent in the rear?

Okay, if you're stock, then the left rear is the damaged corner. As to what's been bent, I don't know. :(

thats a hard one, correct me if I'm wrong but you would almost have to stretch the lateral(sp?) links or bend the strut to get more negivtive camber.

Is that after you did your alignment?

I spent about two weeks pulling my hair out trying to figure out what was bent. I pulled the strut out and the piston moved up and down perfectly. It took me about a week longer to figure out that the shock was bent where the lower mounting bracket mounts to the black strut body it should be at a 90 degree angle and I would bet that yours is off just enough to cause the neg camber problem.

Check it out. A new left rear strut will run you about $115 and you can install it yourself in two hours no problem. Or you can pay some a$$ clown mechanic to do it for you for $400. Let me know if you need some help.

Its only a suspension. Change it yourself or at the least ask a fellow owner to help you out. Only one way to learn.

I've done alignments before, I have seen some pretty wacked rear readings that you don't notice when driving the car. I doubt you could "feel" your out of whack specs.

Do a very close inspection of the suspension on the left rear. Try to see if you can find the bent part. If so, order the part and give a shout out to the list if you need some help with install.

Did the shop try to align it?

the suspension shop said the rear cross-member is bent. they said they could fix it, so hopefully it will be ok afterwards. thanks for everyone's input. i'll post the results next week.

You bent a rear crossmember but didn't bend one of the rear bars? So they say the largest piece of metal in the rear of the car is what bent but the smaller more easily bent pieces are fine? Whatever as long as they can fix it I guess.
