Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

Do you have to go to a dealership to turn off your airbag light?

Do you have to go to a dealership to turn off your airbag light?

I have a 96 2.2L and among other problems my airbag light is on all the time. I know it's supposed to be inspected and all but... do I have to go to a dealership to get that turned off or is there something else I could do?

If there's something wrong with it...then probably

Otherwise, there is a way to reset the CEL's. In a honda, you hold down a few buttons, turn on the car, idle for ten seconds, then turn off the car...not sure what it is in a subaru.

But...if there's actually a problem with your airbag, i'd go to www.openecu.org and just flash your beast and tell the ECU to ignore the code.

You should get that checked out asap even if you have to go to the
Subaru Dealership.
