what should I do about my hood scoop

my '02 blue wrxs paint began bubbling and peeling off the hood scoop. Is there a place to find an inexpensive replacement, or should i just have it painted?

Has the car ever been painted, at least the hood? Is the scoop original? This is not something that normally happens.
If it's just the scoop, it's easy enough to take it off and have a body shop repaint it.

No, I had the door painted, but not the hood. I live in a very hot climate, and i assume it could just be from the sun maybe.
I figure i'll just take the scoop off and take it to a body shop like you said. I was just wondering if there was a good place to get cheap parts

If you get a new scoop it will be unpainted, unless you find someone selling a used one in the proper color. So you'd have to get it painted anyway. Unless the scoop is physically damaged there isn't any reason to get another one.
