true AWD like the rest of the model year RS's that are around? i was with a friend of mine and he was saying that the 99's and up have the true"slip and grip" front and rear differentials(limited slip)....can anyone clear this up for me?
only 2000+ (maybe 99) have rear lsd's. None have front lsd's...

Yup, the rear LSD's started in '00.
The '99's had no real advantage.
The '98's on the other hand, have a DOHC engine, while the '99-'01 have SOHC.
You could always swap in a 00 rear LSD from a junkyard. That is if you've got a pre-00 2.5RS.

Such is true. The DOHC is the real advantage.

The bad thing about the DOHC is they seem to have some head gasket issues.

Remember you will need to get the axles from the donor car also.

Oops my bad. He's right about the axles. They are different length from the pre-00 models to the 2000 model.

Yeah, I have heard this mentioned a lot, but I havn't had those problems myself and havn't heard from anyone actually having those problems themselves either...
