if i was to swap out my 05 WRX turbo with a 04-05 STi turbo would i have to get a upgraded intercooler. if someone could please help me. thanks.

 

you do not need a fmic, but i wouldnt recommend that turbo, you might as well go with a vf-34, vf-22,or a vf30, to make more power. with any of these turbos, and with tbe, ecu programming such as ecutek, or cobb, sti pink injectors, fuel pump, and up pipe... this should yield around 280-300 whp.
