Yokohama YK420s?

Dexter, I'd appreciate your input (as well as anyone else)...

So I know these are a Discount Tire special model or whatever (Dexter, y'all don't sell them), but what do you guys think about them? Looking for the whole scoop... wet, dry, some snow?? I've been shopping around and I'm familiar with comparable tires, I just haven't been able to find out much about these tires, not even from yokohamatire.com.

PS. They'd be going on my '02 Legacy.

From what I can tell, that is tire has a similar tread design as the Yok Avid T4, but it is H rated. As you stated it is sold only by America's Tire Co./ Discount Tire.

In Yokahamas standard line of tires, there's the Avid T, H, and V4. If the one you're looking at is the H rated version of the tire above, it is a well proven tread pattern. Many sipes, two large circumferential grooves - a good all season pattern. If you like these, take a look at the high performance all-season tire surveys. I would submit for your perusal the competing Dunlop SP Sport A2.

I have the YK420s on my car right now and they are great. I don't need agressive tires for a daily driver and these tires still have plenty of performance. They are very good in wet situations, HOWEVER, after puting performance parts elswhere on the car I wish I had gotten Potenzas again. I have to wait a couple more weeks to see how they do in snow. Over all these are great tires for the money.
