Theres only a few brands that are worthy of being put on a Subaru. For my 2001 RS I went with prodrive P1 because im a fan of the brand and i know that the wheels are almost indestructable. But other brands are less expensive and even lighter than the P1 wheels. I made a list here off the top of my head of what i think are the best brands and in order of average price of a set.

Tres Chic:

BBS
SPEEDLINE
PRODRIVE

Average/ chic:

OZ
MOMO
WORK EMOTION
GRAM LIGHTS

Cheaper but still excellent wheel:

VOLK RACING
ENKEI
ROTA

Pretty much any of these are great and how they look is all a matter of one's taste. Try to find a wheel that is both light and strong and a simple design that is easy to clean!! Also look for one that has similar design features that are on ur car. If ur car has sharp angular lines dont buy a wheel that has curvy spokes and circular patterns. And if u drive a car that has no chrome on it whatsoever,(like a subaru last i checked) then u better not get chrome wheels. Unless of course u decide to add some chrome door trim, mudflaps and wheel arches like some crazy folks do!. But ur a subaru guy so im sure ull make the right decision.

Good luck and let us know what u end up getting

None of the wheels i listed are cheap. But Volks are definately cheaper than some BBS's Ive seen. Like I said, off the top of my head, so its not the holy grail of wheel info.

Its important not to take things too literally. Im just tring to direct our friend here to some good brands. Pretty much anything is cheaper than the 2k I spent on Prodrives and tires. Theyre all great wheels IMO... And Rotas do average about 1/3 the price of the VOLK forged models and they really make some good Prodrive knock-offs. I guess i could edit the list but i really dont give a f@#$

Hey bud, stay away from chrome. You want a set of wheels that make your car look meaner.

Those rims scream "rice racer"!!!!!!!!!!!!

After getting those, drop your car, and install some ground effects!

at first i didnt see that they were chrome. was just looking to see how they would look, but now that i kno they are chrome, no way am i gettin those.

ive been looking and looking for the perfect bronze colored rims, since i drive a blue subby. I wasnt able to find any that i liked, i didnt like the bbs ones due to amount of money for each wheel.
Thx to you guys i found a perfect option for my wheels now which is the ROTA Tarmarc 3. Love these wheels. Cheap and really nice looking. 725 a set of 4 at subbydude.

One problem though, does anyone know where i can get a set of 4 tarmacs with a tire combo?

^^ subydude does have a tire package for the tarmac 2's. I would give them a call and see what they can do, they might be able to make you a wheel and tire package with the tarmac 3's
