Take a look at our reviews and tests.

In my opinion, the Blizzak LM-22 will offer best snow/ice performance. The Dunlop takes a slight dip in ice performance but lasts longer and costs less. The Pilot/Arctic Alpins offer a good blend like the Dunlops but costs more. The Goodyear is good all around but a bit soft in the sidewall for my taste.

Those are the ones I have experience with and a brief impression of each. My favorites are the Blizzak and the Dunlop.

Yes they can. The runflats are useful for those with other items occupying their spare tire storage area.
