i just bought a set of rota actions( gold) they're 17x7.5

whats a good size tire to get without having issues of rubbing?

Any help will greatly appreciated...

You should be okay w/ 215's. I ran them on my old GC-8 coupe. You might get a little rubbing when hard driving. You might have better luck w/ wheels w/ a better offset, ie +53.

Tread itself in the rear a little. I had +48 offset wheels w/ 215/45/17 tires also and I got it to rub a few times during hard driving. I was running Ver. 4 STI struts and springs all the way around.

yeah i was looking to get prodrive p1 springs, and keep my stock struts.
so 215's are ok to run?

is it better to run a skinnier tire?(lower side wall) less likely to rub....

I would go w/ the 215's. Occasional slight rubbing is worth having the 215's. There probably won't be any rubbing in day to day driving. I do recommend changing out the stock swaybar in the rear w/ some solid endlinks if you haven't already. It does wonders for that car.

Kartboy are good and cheap. Worth getting. You should have a pretty nice setup when all is said and done.

Strut bars don't do much for the car other than firm up the chassis. You'll see a lot more benefits from a beefier swaybar and solid endlinks, especially on a GC8 which come w/ 13mm stock swaybar. It reduces the body roll when cornering. Do you have Cusco struts, strut bars or coilovers?
