Where to get OEM 17" Gold rims?

Where can i get a set of those GOLD OEM 17" rims i see on all this WRX's???

Car Info: GF8 ver6

There are three types of OEM gold 17s
a>skinny ones for wagon STi. Euro WRX and B4 in Japan has this in Silver.
b>Stock STi sedan
c>SpecC BBS

All of them are pretty rare in US, and I don't know any vendor carries them because they're expensive rims.

Yeah, most are really hard to get. Especially the BBS wheels. If you wanted gold wheels, your best bet is to get Prodrive wheels as they are easier to find. Rotas also have a good option with the Formels as they look like the old BBS style and I believe that they will have those in Gold.

there are a few vendors that will order them for you, they take about 6 weeks and are pricey considering the recent drop in Prodrive pricing and rota's.

I got quoted

$1300 for a set of Gold UK OEM 17" shipped from the UK

$349ea for Gold STI 17" plus $150 shipping from Japan

$799ea for the new BBS Gold rims on the new STI (USDM 04)

Look at VividRacing and Ralispec

i'm guessin that the 1300 shipped from UK doesn't include tires right?
did the canada get any of these by any chance??

thats right no tires

I was looking at the same wheels but can't justify paying this much without tires when rota's or Prodrives can be bought with good tires for much less, balanced and fitted.

Actually, if you go here http://www.rallispec.com/ they have the wheels you are looking for. I feel very lucky, cause I just bought 5 of them off of eBay in the UK. It only took them 3 days to get to my house. If I told you how much I paid for them, you would probably have a ****. I really just lucked out.

what did you pay for shipping and who did you use?

I am buying some soon and what to estimate the shipping charges. did you have to pay any duties or tax on them?

OK...I used UPS in the UK (called them direct). It was $373 for all five wheels (that inlcuded everything). If the package is too big you will have to use UPS Freight and that will kill ya. The minimum charge is $159. They quoted me a price of $697

, so I got the person to separate the wheels into two different packages so I could use regular UPS . Hope this helps.

Ok thanks for the help. I'm gonna run a few quotes through my shipping department at work to see how it works out. I'll try UPS as well and see what they say. I've heard a lot of stories on UPS damaging rims and have asked my seller to wrap them well and box them.

Good to know it may be be cheaper to break them up
