When the 225/45s gotta go

Has tire rack or anyone else checked if 235/45s or 245/45s will clear the STI wells? Various performance tire sites list 17x 7.5 rims (like the BBS STI wheels) as able to fit these 2 tire sizes. The 235s generally run less than 1/2 inch larger in diameter and 4/10ths wider tread. The 245s run 7/10th inch larger diameter and 6/10ths wider tread.

Any problem stuffing these on the 7.5 inch wide BBS rims?
Any clearance issues?

Such Hostility. I saw the tread and called Tire Rack on Thursday afternoon. I recieved no definitive response and was told Tire Rack had not, like actually put the larger tires on to see whether there were any clearance problems when driving the STI and, DUH, making aggressive turns. Most people want to replace the wheels, I just want slightly larger tires that will fit and work in the real world, not just on the Tire Rack lift.

235/40-17 will fit in the well without trouble but are listed to fit 8" and larger wheels only. The 245s will likely require some work - it'll be close against the strut as well as the fender lip.
