Question Wheels performance;need help

I need to know about the performance of my WRX 2002 after change the wheels specs. I'm looking for a wheel of 18''
I just see this at the Tire Rack
http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Displ...t+Silver+Paint
I like those wheels but I think that comes only 17''.
What is the factory spec. of wheel and tire of the WRX 2002?
If i change the diameter size of the wheel from 16'' to 18" how is affected the performance?.,the torque ,acceleration,gas....
What about the weigh of the wheel?,of course this is important.
and for last the odometer , is affected?

ps;what did you think of the wheels I choose.

I dont think the offset on those wheels is correct. Before you buy wheels and tires you should read this: https://www.i-club.com/forums/wheel-tire-59/official-tech-thread-tire-rack-55297/. The reccommended offset for a WRX is from 48-52mm of positive offset. The way to figure outside diamiter of a tire is to multiply the width times the aspect ratio, multiply x2 and add the od of the wheel. Here is an example (215/40/18=width/aspect ratio/wheel od) 215x.4x2=172+Wheel od which is 457.2 (1"=25.4mm so 18x25.4=457.2) 457.2+172=629.2. The od of the factory tires is 631.9mm so there will be a difference of 2.7 mm. The width of the wheel will also play a role in how wide of a tire you want. I have 17x7.5" rims so I bought 225/45/17 and the od of the tire is 2.4mm off but that isnt bad. Hopefully the way I worded this isnt too confuseing, if it is just click on the link above and read what they have to say. After buying wheels and tires my car felt like a new car. Handeling was improved a lot. If you want a big improvement make sure you buy some good tires like the tires I bought (so3's). I bought Rota wheels for $650 and so3's for $717 mounted and balanced. Rota only makes two wheels in 18" and I think these look great http://www.subydude.com/parts/details.php?7171061 but IMO 17" is the way to go.

Good luck
