What tires should I run?

My car should be done around late October and I am looking at wheels and tires for it. It should be putting down 600+whp and the stock tire size and rims aren't going to cut it.

Rims:
Rota Grid 18x9.5 +38 (Matte)

Tire Size:
275/35/18

For the tires I am undecided since browsing the web you get mix reviews on almost everything. Anyone have first hand experiance with any of my poll choices? If so, please give me some input to guide me towards the right choice. Thanks

I would say no to the s.drives..they wore out pretty fast.

I don't see them on your poll but I'd suggest Dunlop direzza star specs..have them on my car right now and I love them!! Very grippy.

Great info, thanks. I will check out the Dunlops.

EDIT: Just check them out and I should have added them to the list.

I am debating on getting Coilovers right away but I might with the stance I am going to have with the new rims and tires. I know for sure I will need to roll my fenders.

Bridgestones are what I have been running for many years. They make some of the best street tires available, and I've tried a lot of them. Currently running RE760s which are a good balance between dry and wet grip.

None of the lower end Dunlops were any good previously, though I haven't run the direzzas. I ran the SP9000s and those were excellent tires. I haven't been impressed by most Falkens either; of your list, those and the SDrives probably shouldn't be there. I called Tire Rack and asked them about the Yoko SDrive and they said get the Bridgestones

A buddy of mine loves his PZeros and swears by them. 600WHP nothing is really going to last, so better to get something good. My buddy had a 500whp LS1 Camaro and even with Yoko A032R Auto-x tires he would still break loose (on 10" wide rims), so regular street tires still might not cut it.

i to have not liked the falkens that i ran (615s)

bridgestones are nice but..very expensive -__-...ahah, but i guess it doesnt matter cause with a built car I guess money wouldnt be to much of an issue..

yokohama ad07 are pretty sweet..werent on my car..but drove a car with them, very nice as well.

I'm confused with this poll. The Yokohama S Drive and Pirelli Pzero Rosso are not in the same category as the other 3 tires. What exactly are you going to be doing with the car? track, street, or a combination of both?

Seems everyone likes the Bridgestone or the Hankook. I will narrow it down to those two choices. I put a selection of tires from hardcore racing to street ability type tire because I am looking for a well rounded tire. I understand with 600+whp, almost any tire wont last long. Thanks for all your responses, much appreciated. I hope to post some numbers here as soon as possible once my car is done.

BTW, WRrex and Stupidchicken03. I only looked at the Sacramento meet posting to see if it was still going on. I don't plan on attending any of them, just thought I would let you know. Glad to see you guys are still around and hope you guys the best.

the Hankook R-S3 is the clear winner among those choices

I had a set of bridgestones that i loved on my MKIII Supra so when i got my first replacement set for my STi i got the RE760s to replace the incredibly bald nexens that i got with the car and i absolutely hated the re760s.I would have taken the bald nexens back if i could. I drove them for a week and a half before I had American Tire take them back in exchange for a set of RE-11's. The RE760s definitely had a lot of grip but they were really hard to hold a proper line through a corner since they seemed to want to pull in all sorts of crazy directions and were very unpredictable. They also felt like you were riding on balloons and under steered. The RE-11s were an extra $50 per corner and definitely worth it in my opinion. The RE-11s are amazing and a total night and day difference. I actually laughed when they had both sets of tires sitting in a stack next to each other and you could see that even though they were the same "size" the re-11s were considerably wider and made the whole stack of tires a lot taller. I just hope they last *crosses fingers*
